Sanopalati, Sindhupalchowk was one of the hard-hit districts during the 7.8M earthquake which hit Nepal on April 2015. Almost all of the 125 houses have been destroyed by the earthquake. The villagers are currently living in relief-agencies funded tents which are not designed for people to live in. The extreme temperatures inside makes living hard. Some have been trying to cope with living in tents, some have created transitional housing and some are rebuilding their houses. The main aim is to provide a cost-effective housing method that can be provided to the earthquake victims during this time of need.
